Ítem Análisis del póker como deporte de estrategías para su reconocimiento oficial en Colombia(Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas) Franco López, Nicolás; Solano Villamizar, FreddyPoker, traditionally associated with games of chance, has evolved in recent decades into a recognized mind sport in several countries. This shift has been driven by research showing that success in poker depends on advanced cognitive skills such as strategic decision-making, probability calculation, and emotional control under pressure. These characteristics have led countries like Brazil and India to reevaluate the nature of poker, granting it a more prominent position within sports and cultural activities. In Brazil, the recognition of poker as a mind sport has been led by the Brazilian Confederation of Texas Hold’em (CBTH), which has not only promoted its competitive development but also positioned poker as an activity that generates economic and cultural opportunities. Meanwhile, in India, a ruling by the Madras High Court in November 2023 marked a milestone by classifying poker as a game of skill, distinguishing it from gambling and setting a crucial precedent for its regulation in the country. This decision was based on evolving jurisprudence, particularly the Indian Supreme Court’s recognition—on multiple occasions—that games largely dependent on skill and knowledge, such as poker, should not be considered games of chance. Such legal developments in India highlight the growing international recognition of poker as a legitimate discipline that requires strategic and cognitive abilities, serving as a model for other countries. In Colombia, however, poker remains regulated under Law 643 of 2001, which implicitly classifies it as a game of chance by including it under the category of "localized games" alongside activities such as roulette and blackjack, as stated in Article 34. Although the Colombian Poker Federation was recently established—with legal status granted by the Ministry of Sport—its operational structure, impact, and institutional recognition remain unclear due to limited public information, consisting mainly of its Instagram account and a non-functional website. This situation raises questions about the role this federation might play in the legalization and development of poker as a mind sport in the country. The objective of this monograph is to analyze how poker can be recognized as a mind sport in Colombia, by exploring successful cases in other countries such as Brazil and India, and by proposing strategies to address the legal, social, and cultural barriers present in the country. Through a comparative approach and the analysis of empirical studies, this work seeks to highlight poker’s potential not only as a recreational activity, but also as a sport capable of generating social, economic, and cultural value in Colombia.Ítem Análisis de la efectividad de las herramientas de seguimiento y monitoreo en el programa Deporte para la Vida del IDRD(Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas) Torres Salinas, Dayron; Alvarado Torres, Jhon EdissonIn Colombia, sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy lifestyle habits are a public health problem that affects a large part of the population. In response to this problem, the District Institute of Recreation and Sport (IDRD) has implemented the Sport for Life program, which seeks to promote physical activity and improve the health of the population through the provision of sporting spaces and activities in the city. However, the effectiveness of this program in promoting physical activity and health in the population has not been evaluated in a systematic and rigorous manner. For this reason, an internship is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Sport for Life program in promoting physical activity and health in the population. The main objective of the internship is to evaluate the monitoring and follow-up techniques used in the IDRD Sport for Life program, in order to determine its effectiveness in promoting physical activity and health in the population. The process to be followed for the development of the internship will include the review of literature and theoretical framework, the identification and selection of monitoring and follow-up techniques, the design of evaluation instruments, the application of the evaluation instruments in the IDRD's Sport for Life program, data analysis and the preparation of a preliminary report with the results of the data analysis. The preliminary report will then be reviewed and adjusted before presenting the final report with the conclusions and recommendations to improve the program. The results of this internship are expected to identify the most effective monitoring and follow-up techniques for promoting physical activity and health in the population, as well as recommend improvements in the implementation of the IDRD's Sport for Life program. In addition, this study is expected to contribute to strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system for sports and physical activity programs in Colombia.Ítem Emprendimiento - Club Deportivo Real CapitalBuitrago Murillo, Edilson Javier; Alvarado Angarita, Nicolás Esteban Mateo; Alvarado Torres, John EdisonThis work is carried out in order to publicize the “Real Capital Sports Club”, which is located in the town of Engativá, in the UPZ of Garcés Navas; which focuses mainly on the sports practice of soccer for children and adolescents, governed by the guidelines of the competent entities of the city, such as the IDRD (District Institute of Recreation and Sports) and the Bogotá Soccer League. Although these games are essential to promote school sports and train future generations of athletes, the lack of effective communication, logistical problems, insufficient sports equipment and constant modifications to the schedule have limited their positive impact. In addition, the IDRD faces challenges in implementing systems that ensure the sustainability of the event, including resource management, the appropriate use of sports venues, and the training of the personnel involved. These problems affect the experience of the participants, the efficiency in the execution of the skills and the fulfillment of the institutional mission. Therefore, it is crucial to analyze and describe current administrative processes, identify areas for improvement and propose solutions based on contemporary administrative theories to guarantee the success of the event and its continuity in future editions, which brings us to the main question. At the time of expressing their ideas or thoughts, they do not always find the right tools to do so, also people who do not feel entirely comfortable with this type of “traditional” methods, this in turn generates a mental health problem. Satisfying these needs should be a fundamental priority for the university, which should guarantee and promote spaces to strengthen the body and mind. In turn, these have hindered the administrative processes since, although there have been spaces where information has been provided and counseling has been carried out that has improved and optimized many processes, these have not been sufficient for students to decide which degree modality to choose or have many doubts about the correct procedure, causing them to not start their process either due to lack of guidance or remain stagnant due to lack of motivation; these and other factors may be those that are affecting academic retention and why students are not graduating in the stipulated times. All of this also creates problems and burdens for coordination and for tutors, especially if students do not yet know the profile of each of them. This makes it difficult to choose the right tutor for the degree process, forcing some of them to take on multiple projects and missing the opportunity to receive guidance from other available tutors.Ítem Análisis comparativo de los programas y proyectos del juego tradicional 2018- 2023 en la Localidad Usme(Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas) Parada Pachón, Nelsón David; Solano Villamizar, Freddy GiovanniThis monograph explores the significance of traditional and ancestral games in the Usme district, located in the south of Bogotá, as a key tool for preserving cultural heritage, strengthening social bonds, and providing recreational opportunities for the community.
