Ítem Diseño y simulación de un prototipo de sistema de supervisión y control de equipos e instrumentos utilizados en sistemas de ventilación mecánica empleados en la industria farmacéuticaCalderón Moreno, Nelson Andrés; Rozo García, Pablo EmilioThis work focuses on the design and simulation of a supervision and control system, of the equipment and instruments that make up the ventilation systems that operate in production plants in the pharmaceutical industry, in order to guarantee the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, differential pressures, air flow and air renewal) required within the different areas during the production process. Through this design, beneficiaries are sought for the pharmaceutical sector by monitoring and manipulating the equipment remotely, allowing the recording of plant conditions in real time, enabling the detection and correction of unwanted situations in the shortest possible time. The system was designed through a methodology based on three stages: the first stage deals with the selection of the equipment and the variables to be controlled by the system, presenting a proposal with easily accessible instruments in the country's electronic commerce. The second stage consists of creating the interface and the supervision system, facilitating interaction with the elements of the ventilation system. During the third stage, the programming, control and communication of the interface signals with the PLC is carried out, achieving control of the equipment. Finally, the operation of the design developed for the control and supervision system is checked, performing parameter variation tests and displaying its response on the HMI. An alarm system was included that is activated from the detection of conditions outside the desired values and which was tested by varying the input and output signals of the control system.Ítem Optimización de ósmosis inversa para la producción de agua purificada en industria farmacéuticaHurtado Gómez, José; Camargo, Julián R.This article presents the process of producing purified water in the pharmaceutical industry, where they identify its different stages; and the optimization of an existing Reverse osmosis equipment in the components is proposed: automation and instrumentation. In first instance, the particular needs for the application of this sealant are presented and the impact that generates in the production process and in the workers who performs the work, additionally, the sample data are disclosed obtained in the Factory for a later comparison with the proposed goal. In order to join efforts to contribute to the sanitation of the Bogotá River, establishing the scope of the megaproject and the definition of the works, in this context, phase II of the WWTP is opened. When installing a control system with all its elements in the conceptual and detailed engineering development, the process is ideally conceived, this means that when starting a plant, obvious conditions are considered, but not the detailed ones. It is here where abnormalities that make discontinuous industrial processes begin to emerge, at this point is where professionals specialized in computer systems and industrial automation intervene in such a way that they interact with the process and analyze the possible alternatives to achieve a process. I continue to go beyond the obvious and go into detail to improve the general condition of an industrial plant. The development focuses on the visualization of improvement within a concept of optimization of the process, the objective line being the improvement of the indicators with which the performance of the process is measured and the way of generating the solutions is carried out with the same equipment, measuring instruments and automation equipment. This process is known as BURN-IN, a process where the devices are put to a test of extreme temperatures for a short period of time, to make sure the integrated circuits are not failing neither the soldering points. Thus, in this project several digitalization alternatives are studied by the use of a 3D scanner, showing the advantages and disadvantages of each technology, according to its physical operation principle, the cost-benefit factor and the application feasibility. Design was made with drip irrigation system method and, the communication between the field and the supervisor system was established using ZigBee devices connected in mesh topology. SCADA System supervises four variables from the field: temperature, soil moisture content, water and nutrients level and ZigBee device status. When a determined value of temperature or soil moisture is reached, the system evaluates if the water and nutrients pipe’s valves must be opened or closed. Device’s status is monitored every time for detecting node failures and, in case of any issue, the user can take decisions on time for avoiding loss of data. This design was made with five ZigBee nodes, but it might be expanded as desired. The paper also explains the complete process, including analysis and comparison of different protocols used for wireless sensor network, as well as the analysis for selecting the appropriate irrigation method.Ítem Diseño de un sistema de pago automatizado para supermercadosVergara Avila, Alejandro José; López Santana, Eduyn RamiroThe degree work aims to analyze and simulate the waiting times in line at a supermarket, and the simulation of a proposed automated payment system for a supermarket, which seeks to reduce waiting times in supermarkets when paying for products to improve the customer experience. This proposal makes use of RFID technology, which is a technology applied to short range contactless communication, used in this case to read the information of each product to be paid for, and in addition each product has a "tag" that allows the storage of relevant information of each product, to be read by the RFID receiver. In addition to employing this technology, the proposed complete system includes an automated line in which people place their bags of products on a motorized rail, this carries the products to be read by the RFID sensors, and then a robotic arm conducts the orders of each customer to a conveyor belt where they can be collected. The degree work includes the study and measurement of waiting times that are presented in today's supermarkets, in order to simulate this traditional process and compare it with the proposed system, analyze feasibility, advantages and disadvantages, and possible conclusions.
