This monograph evaluates the feasibility of replacing expanded polyethylene (Yumbolon) with Kraft honeycomb paper for packaging delicate products at the company Multidimensionales S.A.S. in Bogotá. The company currently uses 396 m² of Yumbolon monthly, resulting in high costs and significant environmental impact, as the material is neither reused nor recycled. The study compares the performance of Kraft honeycomb paper with Yumbolon in transport tests, cost analysis, and carbon footprint. Results show that Kraft paper offers adequate protection, is recyclable and biodegradable, and reduces CO₂ emissions by 48%. Although more Kraft material is needed to match Yumbolon's cushioning, its lower price per square meter partially offsets this. The project aligns with Colombia’s Law 2232 of 2022, which restricts the use of single-use plastics. It concludes that adopting this sustainable alternative improves corporate image for eco-conscious consumers and helps the company prepare for future environmental regulations.

The study analyzes the influence of educational marketing on students' perception of three universities in Bogotá: Politécnico Grancolombiano, Uniminuto, and ECCI. It found that social media and email are key tools for attracting students, while virtual talks have less impact. Although advertising campaigns generate interest, they do not always fully reflect the academic reality, which can affect student satisfaction and retention. It is recommended to improve content personalization and transparency to better align expectations with the actual experience.

This paper presents the development and implementation of an efficient cost system for Tecbombas H2O SAS, designed to optimize the company's strategic decision making. In the first instance, the most appropriate system was identified by comparing models according to criteria such as flexibility and adaptability, selecting the systems of project costs and fixed and variable costs to address different needs. Among the outstanding achievements, business profitability was evaluated, identifying imbalances and disproportionate expenses that affected revenues. In particular, preventive maintenance contracts with low profitability were analyzed, evaluating times, use of technical resources and differences between actual and charged costs. This allowed us to propose adjustments in rates and strategies to maximize profitability during the internship process. However, when trying to calculate profitability by business lines (buildings, hotels and complexes), the lack of specific data on expenses was identified as a major limitation. To mitigate this difficulty, Kardex and detailed tracking systems for materials and labor were implemented for each project. Finally, this analysis provides clear guidance for improving operational processes, adjusting rates and strengthening the company's financial management, positioning it for sustainable growth.

In the context of the Santa Viviana neighborhood in Bogotá, we have developed an Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan (PGIRS) in order to address and improve waste management in the community. This project has been of great importance, as proper solid waste management is essential to promote health, protect the environment, and contribute to the sustainable development of the community. The PGIRS has been carried out in several phases. First, information was collected about the area and the activities conducted there, as well as the various environmental aspects involved. A detailed diagnosis of the current solid waste situation in the neighborhood was then performed. This included characterizing the waste generated, identifying critical points and deficiencies in waste management, and subsequently conducting an environmental impact assessment. Based on this diagnosis, specific strategies and actions were designed to improve waste management in the neighborhood through the development of the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan by creating environmental management sheets. These included the implementation of programs for waste reduction, reuse, and recycling, as well as the promotion of sustainable practices among residents. Mechanisms were also established for continuous monitoring and evaluation within the sheets to ensure their effectiveness and make adjustments if necessary. The project socialization was carried out in several stages. First, a meeting was held with the president of the community action board of the Santa Viviana neighborhood to present and discuss the plan. Then, informative sessions were held with both formal and informal merchants in the neighborhood, who play a crucial role in waste management due to the generation of commercial waste. Additionally, activities were conducted in the neighborhood's public parks, where the project was explained to the residents, and flyers with relevant information were distributed. These activities extended to the general community, aiming to ensure that residents were informed and motivated to actively participate in waste management. In summary, the PGIRS for the Santa Viviana neighborhood has been a comprehensive project that has addressed all aspects of solid waste management, from the initial diagnosis to the design of specific strategies and actions. This has been possible thanks to the collaboration and active participation of the community, as well as the commitment of the community action board.

The fast fashion industry has generated a significant environmental impact due to overproduction and the use of unsustainable materials. Given this scenario, the need arises for alternatives that promote circular fashion and social empowerment. This degree work presents a business model of a venture of artisanal swimsuits made with t-shirt fabric, an innovative solution that combines sustainability, design and a strong social component. The choice of t-shirt fabric, a recycled material made from textile scraps, demonstrates a commitment to the circular economy and waste reduction. Furthermore, the artisanal production of swimsuits allows for the generation of decent and flexible jobs, especially for mothers who are heads of households, who, through their creativity and manual skill, contribute to the creation of unique and personalized pieces. This business model not only reduces the environmental impact, but also empowers women in vulnerable situations, giving them the opportunity to improve their quality of life. This study delves into the analysis of the production processes of the textile swimsuit enterprise, applying methods to optimize operations. The supply chain will be evaluated, from the acquisition of raw materials to the distribution of the final product; Likewise, quality control tools will be implemented to guarantee the conformity of products with established standards.

This project explores the feasibility of a business in Bogotá focused on selling natural juices through vending machines. A gap was identified in the market for healthy, easily accessible options, in contrast to sugary drinks and those with artificial flavorings. The business would focus on offering personalized juices, allowing customers to mix fruits and choose sweeteners. To assess the project's viability, a business plan was developed, including market, technical, administrative, and financial studies. The estimated initial investment is approximately COP 93,400,000, and financial projections using methods such as NPV and IRR indicate the business is viable. It is recommended to seek additional capital sources and minimize vending machine rental costs to increase profitability.

In the context of the growing urban fashion market, Bogotá presents a unique opportunity for the development of an urban clothing company that meets the needs of modern consumers, while promoting social and sustainable values. This project focuses on combining accessibility, innovation, quality and social awareness, key elements for success in this sector. Various studies have shown a trend towards preference for brands that adopt sustainable and ethical practices, although there are challenges to effectively implement these principles in Bogotá. Therefore, this research aims to generate a business plan to set up an urban clothing company in the city, covering market analysis, positioning and segmentation strategies, and the identification of necessary resources and processes. The business plan also aims to analyze costs, identify sources of financing and develop financial projections to ensure the economic viability of the project, balancing accessibility, innovation, quality and social responsibility. The hypothesis is that a business plan that integrates these elements will differentiate the brand in a competitive market and satisfy consumer demands. The methodology includes a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the market, surveys and interviews with potential customers, and a review of successful cases in sustainable urban fashion. The study is structured in three parts: preliminary, body of work (including problem analysis, reference framework, market and financial studies), and complementary material (bibliography and appendices).
