Ítem Algoritmo de software para gestionar el consumo de energía eléctricaCelis Pimentel, Ricardo Andrés; Vega Escobar, Adriana MarcelaThis document aims to provide a low-cost option to smart meters, so a software algorithm is developed to estimate electrical energy consumption from the measurement of physical variables, permanently taking voltage and current samples. . The algorithm receives the voltage and current signals from an analog-digital converter, performs the estimation of the magnitude of the power and energy, and sends this information to two databases, which will group and store the information for when it is consulted. In addition, a voltage divider is designed, an SCT-013 indirect current measurement sensor is selected and a web page is designed, in which load curves are recreated, so that the user is aware of the ranges in which they have higher energy consumption. The result, a static active energy measurement device, single-phase two-wire, accuracy class 2, insulation class 2, 120V, with a current range of 0.5A to 30A.Ítem Algoritmo para la identificación de pérdidas no técnicas en baja tensiónSantos Paez, Cristian David; Vega Escobar, Adriana MarcelaThis document develops an algorithm for the identification of non-technical losses in low voltage based on Montecarlo simulations in search of finding an agile and effective process to discovery of losses that is different from conventional technical analyzes, based on the data and basic characteristics from a user of the electric service, using free software with easy access.Ítem Curva de demanda de energía eléctrica en sector residencial estrato tres de Bogotá D.C. mediante caracterización por redes neuronales artificialesOsorio Huertas, Santiago Andrés; Romero Villamil, Edwar David; Vega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Rivas Trujillo, EdwinThe electric energy demand curve shows how the demand or electric load varies in a certain time interval; based on the forecast of the average consumption of electric energy by the load (residential, commercial and industrial), the country's electric energy dispatch is programmed. At present, there is no specific load curve for the residential load that specifically characterizes the consumption of each socioeconomic stratum, which is why this degree project seeks to characterize the demand curve of electric energy of the residential sector for the socioeconomic stratum 3 of the city of Bogota D.C. This requires the collection of data taken from field measurements; but because this degree project was realized during a pandemic (COVID-19), the data was collected through a survey, which was intended to gather information on the consumption of electricity of users throughout the day, based on the number of appliances they own, hours of use, number of inhabitants in the house, among other questions that contribute to the calculation of electricity consumption for certain hours of the day of the inhabitants of the residential sector stratum 3 of the city of Bogota DC. The survey was formulated to 271 people, a significant sample of the total population. In order to analyze the data obtained, it is first necessary to organize them, and then use statistical methods to detect and solve the presence of outliers in the answers obtained. If the outliers are not detected, they can cause the sample mean to not adequately represent the population sample, but on the contrary, to obtain biased information and in some cases erroneous information. With the data obtained from the surveys, an average curve is determined for the stratum 3 residential sector, complemented with technical data sheets and manuals of the household appliances present in the survey, in order to assign the specific power to each appliance. By means of the powers obtained, the values of time of use of the equipment, utilization factors, consumption in standby mode, among others, a daily consumption curve per equipment and per user is established, based on these results and through the application of robust statistical methods, a model of electric energy demand curve of the residential sector stratum 3 of the city of Bogota D. C. is presented. C, in this curve are presented results of monthly consumption equal to 145.51 kWh per month, value validated with the help of Matlab® software, computational tool that allowed the creation of an "Artificial neural network perceptron multilayer", which provides a curve with a monthly consumption equal to 144.89 kWh per month.Ítem Desarrollo de la coordinación de protecciones en la red de AT y MT de la empresa CODENSA S.A, mediante el software de simulación Digsilent Power Factory. Caso de estudio zona nororiental BogotáAyala Delgado, Paula Andrea; Vega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Espinel Ortega, Álvaro; García, Luis FernandoIn recent years, energy operating and distributing companies (OR) have had to improve their time of service impact drastically due to regulatory requirements, market competitiveness, demand from investors, business customers and in some cases even through the influence of social networks; these reductions in time entail performing many actions in the operation, planning and management of the technical tasks associated with the distribution. Within the possibilities that the OR has, they are entering the world of the digitalization of information, which brings great benefits in reducing analysis times, flexibility of information and opportunity to obtain results. Taking into account the above, it is important that an OR as CODENSA S.A. have a digitalized electrical diagram through the use of Digsilent Power Factory® that offers a great performance to incorporate different analyzes in the following fields of technical knowledge: Coordination of Protections, analysis of technical losses, contingency analysis, reliability analysis, load flows under contingencies, analysis in condition N-1 and N-2 and location of electrical discharges.Ítem Diseño e instalación de sistemas fotovoltaicos en Buenaventura- Valle del Cauca que garantice el suministro de energía eléctrica teniendo en cuenta aspectos técnicos y condiciones ambientales de la zona.Bautista Aguilar, Paula Alejandra; Córdoba Poveda, Jenny Katherine; Vega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Espinel Ortega, ÁlvaroPhotovoltaic solar energy in Colombia has had great relevance since the 70s, with the commercialization of photovoltaic electricity generation plants, since then the largest applications have been in rural sectors, which have high generation costs because they are the most sections. In the last decade, projects of various applications have been implemented, benefiting not only rural areas but also urban areas, expanding installed capacity, along with the development of photovoltaic plants in the country; Examples of large applications are the first photovoltaic plant in the country Celsia Solar Yumbo- Valle del Cauca with a capacity of 9.8MW (2017) and the new Celsia Solar Bolívar plant (Santa Rosa de Lima- Bolívar), with an installed capacity of 8.06 MW. Current Colombian regulations, such as Law 1715 of 2014, have encouraged the use of non-conventional sources of renewable energy, establishing tax incentives (Law 1715, 2014). From this, the possibility arises of using these sources as alternative generators that can supply the demand of certain areas of the country that are affected by the continuous unavailability of electric power service due to different factors, such as geographic location, the difficult access to some areas of the country that have these energy deficiencies, as well as the lack of infrastructure, together with the deterioration and lack of maintenance of the electrical networks that cause continuous failures in the electricity supply, in addition to the damage caused to the electricity grids by groups outside the law in the context of the armed conflict, which affect the supply of public services to large areas of the territory. According to data from DANE, there are areas that are not interconnected to the national electricity grid, these have alternatives for electricity supply such as diesel generating plants installed by the community; but these present a negative environmental and economic impact due to the limitation of the availability of fuels, the noise generated, the pollution produced, the expenses represented in the maintenance, together with the inefficiency of the combustion engines, added to the limitation of the provision of the service in prolonged periods of time. One of the most viable alternatives to meet the energy demand in remote populations such as Buenaventura-Valle del Cauca, is the implementation of non-conventional energy sources such as photovoltaic systems, currently they are being developed in a massive way in the country, since For every 10 energy projects registered with the UPME, 6 are for photovoltaic solar energy. However, when they are implemented, on many occasions there may be power outages when the panel is in operation, due to the fact that these systems are not sized in an ideal way In this way, the need to evaluate the viability of designing and installing photovoltaic systems in Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca is seen, taking into account the conditions of the sector and energy demand, because photovoltaic systems, despite being considered generic They can be adapted to the different needs that need to be supplied.Ítem Estrategia pedagógica para la formación en sistemas de energía solar fotovoltaica en el sector aeronáuticoBáez Buelvas, Iván Darío; Ávila Calderón, David Ricardo; Vega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Espinel Ortega, Álvaro; Gómez Gómez, Edgar LeonardoIn the present work, the design of a pedagogical strategy was implemented to be implemented in civil aeronautics. This was requested by XM SA ESP to the Department of Maintenance of Protections AT, of Enel - Codensa SA ESP, due to the occurrence of two events in particular that warned about possible loss of coordination of the protection system in that node of the system. The study consists of the analysis of the current protection system in the face of the simulated presence of faults at 1%, 50%, 99% on the lines of the area of influence, where the simulated events were single-phase faults (0 Ω, 10 Ω, 20Ω ), biphasic, biphasic to ground (0 Ω, 5 Ω, 10Ω) and triphasic, taking into account three simulation scenarios: Maximum demand and minimum demand; coupling of the 115 kV bars of Torca open and closed; condition n-1 and with all the assets available, the above, through the simulation software PSS CAPE®. In the development of this study, 16 power substations, 26 transmission lines and five 230/115 kV transformation banks were taken into account, all of them include 41 overcurrent protections and 63 distance protections. The results obtained showed the existence of errors in some settings of the protections, which could cause a neglect of the energy demand and a risk in the useful life of the equipment. These errors found were corrected and validated to finally present to the operator of the National Interconnected System an adjustment proposal that represents an increase in the selectivity and reliability of the protection system of this important node of the system.Ítem Estudio de factibilidad para implementar proyectos para generación solar fotovoltaica en pequeñas empresas colombianas con el fin de acceder a los beneficios de la Ley 1715 de 2014Sabogal Venegas, Cristian Camilo; León Cardozo, Edixon; Espinel Ortega, Álvaro; Vega Escobar, Adriana MarcelaThe project of degree presented below addresses the panorama of the energy matrix of Colombia and from this proposes to carry out a study to implement photovoltaic solar generation projects in companies in the city of Bogotá, making data capture and designing solutions to meet a demand specific energy. Its purpose is to establish the level of risk from atmospheric electrical discharges in the project most critical area. For its development, a theoretical basis was provided on the calculation of the risk level from atmospheric electrical discharges as described in the Colombian Technical Regulations NTC 4552-2, as well as for the different types of electrical accidents based on the Technical Regulations for Electrical Installations (RETIE). Using the standards mentioed before as a guide, the methodology was developed first by identifying the structure and the services to be protected, in this case, the house or property with the greatest extension and height. With the structure's identification to be evaluated, it was calculated the different risk components R1, R2, R4 and for the different events Ra, Rb, Rc, Rm, Ru, Rv, Rw and Rz, which were below the tolerable risk values. The value obtained for the risk level for loss of human life (R1) was 4,022*10^(-6), for loss of public services (R2) was 1,421*10^(-6) and finally for loss of economic value (R4) was 3.642*10^(-5), values lower than *10^(-5), *10^(-3) and *10^(-3) respectively, these being the maximum tolerable values according to NTC 4552-2. Considering the above, a comparative analysis was made of the tolerable or reference values according to NTC 4552-2 with the values obtained for each type of risk, concluding that the risks identified are less than the tolerable value (Rx < RT), the structure does not require protection measures, i.e., it is protected for losses to the different events of atmospheric electrical discharges and does not require the implementation of corrective measures to mitigate this risk.Ítem Estudio técnico y económico para el suministro de energía de la Universidad DistritalCamen González, Juan Sebastian; Arévalo Rivera, Paula Camila; Vega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Espinel Ortega, ÁlvaroIn this document it is going to be evaluated the viability of the change from regulated to unregulated user of the Administrative, Technological, Macarena and Bosa Porvenir headquarters of Francisco José de Caldas District University by analyzing the technical requirements demanded by the CREG (Energy and Gas Regulation Commission) and its economic impact on the University. Initially, a compilation of the different regulations was made. It describes the process and technical requirements, administrative and documentary conditions to make the change from regulated to non-regulated users, allowing the University to freely negotiate prices through fixed-term contracts with any energy marketer in the wholesale market. Subsequently, a technical analysis was made to verify compliance with these conditions using the monthly energy bills of the headquarters from 2016 to 2020, and afterwards, another analysis was carried out of the possible marketer that offer the sales services of energy in Cundinamarca and 5 candidates were chosen to carry out the economic feasibility analysis, where it was found that the University by 2019 could have saved about $ 500 million of pesos and by 2020 about $ 350 million of pesos; it could be made by carrying out a procedure that only involves the implementation of an energy meter with tele measure in each of the headquarters and choose a marketer to represent the University in the Wholesale Energy Market of Colombia.Ítem Evaluación de alternativas de mejora en la calidad de servicio en los Circuitos Pasquilla y Tiguaque dentro del plan de mantenimiento preventivo 2021 de la Zona Sureste Unidad Operativa Bogotá MT/BTCarreño Esguerra, José Ángel; Vega Escobar, Adriana MarcelaThe Pasquilla and Tiguaque circuits, as well as the 677 remaining circuits that complement the electric power distribution network in the city of Bogotá DC, are assets belonging to the company Enel - Codensa SA ESP. events, disturbances or anomalies caused by the presence of defects in the network; as well as electrical, dielectric, mechanical, thermal and external causes; violating equipment, quality of service and even living beings. Enel - Codensa, through the Operation and Maintenance area (O&M), together with the Bogotá Operative Unit, designates work teams in charge of monitoring the circuits in order to provide the best possible quality of service, due to this the inspections of network, which are essential to generate the Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP). The chain of procedures for the management and definition of infrastructure and network maintenance programs is established in the organization as Organizational Procedure PO257; and based on PO257 and the asset management policy, the Infrastructure and Networks Maintenance Program (O & M02) is defined and directed. As a result, a computational tool is generated that allows the integration of information exported from corporate applications, in order to keep track of the activities, jobs, interventions and defects present in a specific circuit. Mentioned application is accompanied by its respective instructions, which will explain the considerations and procedures to make use of it. Finally, it is discovered that around 70% of network defects with possible short-term effects correspond to elements and structures in poor condition; In addition, there are behaviors that demonstrate the effectiveness of the implementation of the maintenance plan, reducing power service interruptions by up to 36% for the circuits studied.Ítem Gestión de la energía eléctrica domiciliaria con base en la gestión activa de la demandaVega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Santamaría Piedrahita, Francisco; Rivas Trujillo, EdwinHome Energy Management Systems (HEMS), are playing an important role in the new energy context, due to the modernization of generation, transmission and distribution systems and final-user facilities, as well as the incorporation of renewable energy sources at home. This contributes favorably in technical, economic, social and environmental aspects to the improvement of the operation conditions for residential users and the electric system, because they allow the monitoring, supervision and control of devices connected at home, which allows to implement real time energy saving programs and self-generation programs as part of Active Demand Management (ADM) strategies. This doctoral thesis addresses the home energy management according to the needs of the residential user and his/her environment, in order to contribute to the integral operation of the electric system with new schemes for energy use and making decisions related with energy consumption and/or generation based on ADM strategies through changes in consumption habits, transforming the user into an active user. A home energy management system prototype named GEDE is proposed, which involves information and communication technologies to take energy measures in the power sources and devices to be managed, and send the information through the power line to a central system. The information is processed for supervision, monitoring and control activities in three ways: manual, semi-automatic and automatic mode, which operate based on decision algorithms. This prototype was designed and implemented taking into account standard communication protocols in the internet of things context. Special attention is given to the analysis of the external social variable focused on changes in consumption habits of the active user, to determine actions involving his/her interactions with the electric system, including an agent named aggregator, who provides the means to propose active demand management strategies, facilitating the interaction between the user and the energy market. For this, a model was implemented using systems dynamics techniques, which includes the typical behavior of users and possible changes in energy consumption habits. This model was applied to the case of users of middle-high socio-economic status of the city of Bogota D.C. In the research process, the elements above were combined, and the results show that the active user participation is an opportunity to contribute with the National Electric System, either as a generator of his/her own energy or through changes in consumption habits, but the national regulatory framework must be adjusted to motivate the participation in these processes.Ítem Implementación de algoritmo computacional para el estudio de confiabilidad y flujo de carga en sistemas eléctricos de distribución a través del software DigSilent: Caso de estudio Rbts de 7 feedersPineda Rojas, Daniel; Vega Escobar, Adriana Marcela; Bonilla Vargas, Iván FelipeThe objective of this document is to show the elaboration of a computational algorithm developed in the electric network operator Enel Codensa for the evaluation of studies of reliability and load flows applied to electrical distribution systems developed within the area of the company designs and works in medium voltage, which seeks to carry out an evaluation of a system of electrical power under initial conditions and in different operating scenarios, allowing contrast the results obtained in each of the case studies.
