Ítem Análisis de las consecuencias ambientales por la implementación del fracking en Puerto Wilches, Colombia, del 2019 a 2022Vides Bossio, Andrea Carolina; Alarcón Arias, Laura Marcela; Espinosa García, Helmut; Espinosa García, Helmut [0000-0001-9341-3995]In this document, we sought to analyze the impacts and socio-environmental consequences of the implementation of fracking in the municipality of Puerto Wilches, located in the department of Santander, Colombia, this place had been chosen to carry out the first pilot plans of fracking in the country, This process consists of making small fractures to the rocks through the injection of water at high pressures, this in order to stimulate and accelerate the extraction process of the different hydrocarbons contained therein, however, this procedure leaves negative impacts on the environment and on the quality of life of the communities living nearby. In order to develop in the country an exploitation practice of great impact such as hydraulic fracturing, it is necessary to know the institutional capacity and regulations that would govern this form of extraction, as well as the impacts it causes not only to the environment, but also to the communities of the municipality, since internationally, Fracking has been a trigger for social mobilizations and environmental damage, for this reason, during the elaboration of the monograph, references were taken from different national and international works and researches that address the topic of interest, in addition, two matrices were worked on that allowed to evaluate the environmental impact of this form of extraction.Ítem Aplicación del índice de uso de agua para la priorización de reglamentación de corrientes hidrográficas en la cuenca del río Apulo(Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas) Romero Bohórquez , Yeiferson Leonel; Osorio Lozano, Juan Pablo; Espinosa García , Helmut; Espinosa García, Helmut [0000-0001-9341-3995]The Apulo River basin, located in several municipalities of Cundinamarca, is characterized by a high water demand due to factors such as population density, agricultural activities, non-stabled livestock, tourism, and industrial production, which increases pressure on the water system and generates conflicts over access to the resource during the dry season. To ensure the sustainable and equitable access of users in this basin to the resource, the water courses (Hydrographic Units level I and II) with the greatest vulnerability to source depletion were identified using the Water Use Index (IUA). This monitoring criterion, defined in the National Policy for Integrated Water Resource Management (PNGIRH), allows prioritizing the regulation of vulnerable water courses in the basin, being used by government organizations such as the Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca to evaluate water supply and demand. The basin’s supply of the 23 streams in the Paulo River was determined through the rainfall-runoff method using the geomatic tool HEC – Geo RAS, for processing cartographic information such as surface coverages, soil units, and climatological data from nine stations throughout the basin, with data series spanning 10 years. The water demand was determined by characterizing the records of current concessions granted in the basin by the Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca, which allocate flow based on the consumption modules adopted through CAR Agreement No. 004 of 2016. Subsequently, the supply-demand relationship was estimated using the IUA (Water Use Index), which corresponds to the amount of water used by different user sectors over a specific period (annual, monthly) and per spatial unit of the hydrographic subzone, in relation to the available surface water supply for the same time and spatial units. Five streams with critical IUA were identified, which are susceptible to flow regulation projects.Ítem Apoyo al desarrollo de una guía de procesos socio ambientales red JAGUAFalla Cepeda, Ana Maria; Góngora Garces, María Cristina; Espinosa García, Helmut; 0000-0001-9341-3995; Espinosa García, Helmut [0000-0001-9341-3995]The culture of water is today a predominant gap in some populations that make the management of water resources inadequate, bringing with it environmental problems that affect the social, economic, political and cultural sectors. The purpose of this degree project is to support the construction and design processes of a communicative guide-type piece for extension activities and social projection associated with the integral management of water resources within the framework of the educational programs of the JAGUA thematic network with support of the water school program of the water chair of the District University through the modality of internal internship. The Francisco José de Caldas District University, through the program called Cátedra Agua that offers a comprehensive educational process oriented to the management of the crisis of the water resource, it offers knowledge, practical and shared experiences regarding the saving and efficient use of water for different actors in urban areas, taking into account environmental problems related to water, climate change and global anomalies.Ítem Apoyo al desarrollo del manual experimental y protocolos de practicas del equipo Dikoin canal hidráulicoLlano Pérez, Laura María; Espinosa García, Helmut; 0000-0001-9341-3995; Espinosa García, Helmut [0000-0001-9341-3995]The Dikoin 5M Hydraulic Channel, which is located in the Hydraulics Laboratory of the Bosa Porvenir Headquarters, is an extremely important piece of equipment for practices related to hydraulics. However, this equipment lacked information to be used by students or teachers. Having said the above, with this work it is intended to support the development of the manual that helps to make proper and safe use of the equipment, and without forgetting the safety of those who operate it. To achieve this, 3 phases were planned, which were worked in an experimental and descriptive way, helping us with secondary information such as bibliographic and digital sources such as the manual provided by the provider, obtaining primary information from the experimentation and observation of the team. In this way, it is sought that it is possible to easily find the generalities of the equipment, its accessories, limits, operation and maintenance, as well as 1 experiment, making flow charts and results tables, which can develop the activities.Ítem Apoyo al Jardín Botánico de Bogotá con los procesos de asistencia técnica y formativa en agricultura urbana.Gomez Rios, Gisell Nathalia; Espinosa García, Helmut; Espinosa García, Helmut [0000-0001-9341-3995]The Botanical Garden of Bogotá is responsible for the comprehensive management of the city’s green cover. Therefore, since 2004, the JBB has included urban and peri-urban agriculture from different perspectives that involve collaboration with the city’s gardeners in operational aspects, as well as the appropriation and dissemination of knowledge, and the promotion of this practice in family, community, school and institutional settings, thus contributing to educational and cultural formation, food security and environmental sustainability with respect to AU, generating and strengthening community gardens for this purpose. According to agreement 605 of 2015, “which formulates the guidelines to institutionalize the program of agroecological urban and peri-urban agriculture in the city of Bogotá”, urban agriculture seeks to use spaces around the city of Bogotá or its surroundings for the production of food from home or community gardens, this in order to respond to specific food needs and food insecurity. Therefore, the Botanical Garden of Bogotá creates the Urban Agriculture program, through which it contributes to learning processes and community work. Even though Bogotá has a great diversity and abundance of food, research indicates that most of the products available on the market are not accessible, healthy or sustainable. In addition, the use of inappropriate methods at different stages of the food chain carries risks and consequences for the environment and human health, which poses a considerable challenge for the creation of a food-conscious citizenship. Initially, a compilation of information on the status of rainwater harvesting was carried out through a thorough bibliographic review and direct consultations with the community of the eco-neighborhood La Esmeralda, as well as the observation and analysis of the study area. This made it possible to formulate a diagnosis of the climatic dynamics, infrastructure of rainwater harvesting technologies, and to establish how the idealized model of a system for the use of this water resource would be integrated. Subsequently, the technical, economic and technological criteria to implement a rainwater harvesting model were established, required for technology transfer, through a guide-type communicative instrument, oriented to the knowledge and learning associated with rainwater harvesting.Ítem Educación ambiental como apoyo a proyectos de agricultura urbana ejecutados por el Jardín Botánico de BogotáGrillo Manrique, Danna Valentina; Espinosa García, Helmut; Espinosa García, Helmut [0000-0001-9341-3995]The José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden of Bogotá in the technical-operational sub-direction of the urban agriculture line in articulation with the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas allows the realization of an internship as a degree modality to opt for the title of Technologist in Environmental Management and Public Services. Based on this, the following work entitled "Environmental education as support to urban agriculture projects implemented by the Botanical Garden of Bogota" is developed. Initially it is supported by the process of historical analysis as a way of storing information of the activities that are carried out during the visits to the gardens, also methodological instruments are used as field notes and observation "in situ" in the works within the locality of Bosa, so that important data can be collected in the recommendations and suggestions given to the gardener. This made it possible to identify the key aspects that can enrich the urban agriculture program from the perspective of sustainability, which made it possible to create an infographic as an explanatory image that highlights and disseminates the environmental benefits of the application of urban agroecological practices, in such a way as to reach another type of population where participation and promotion are part of the success factors.
