Abstract

The project "Strategy to Strengthen the Development of Competencies and Skills in the Area of ​​Electronics at the Colegio Marruecos y Molinos IED, Tenth Grade" aimed to promote hands-on learning in robotics, electronics, and computer science. The methodology included motivational talks, theoretical and practical workshops, programming practices with ESP32 microcontrollers and App Inventor, as well as the construction of a home automation model with lighting control, a servomotor, environmental monitoring using a DHT11 sensor, and Bluetooth communication. Students participated in academic visits to the Francisco José de Caldas District University and in events such as the university fair and the STEM meeting, which strengthened their connection with higher education. The results demonstrated the acquisition of technical concepts, the development of problem-solving and teamwork skills, and a greater interest in continuing studies in STEM fields. It is concluded that teaching based on practical projects and accessible resources enhances technical training and student motivation.
