Resumen
The general objective of this study is to analyze the current situation of pregnant women victims of the Colombian armed conflict belonging to Kilombo Aroní in Bogotá, in order to identify their emotional needs and cultural care practices. A monograph of experience analysis is conducted, with a qualitative and descriptive approach, based on the account of experiences, from the results obtained through interviews and observation applied throughout the project. It was concluded that the Kilombos show how the ancestral knowledge of the Afro-descendant ethnic communities in the country is still maintained in the Colombian capital; these processes and knowledge that have accompanied the communities for centuries continue to be the support of their roots, even in post-agreement processes. Many of the women who have fled the war in Colombia have relied on Kilombo networks, contributing not only from their knowledge (alternative medicine) when they are pregnant, but also in emotional needs that arise during the gestation periods. The women who participated in this study say that they have had the support of Kilombo Aroní throughout their pregnancy and express their satisfaction with the care they received during their pregnancy. They also consider that it is necessary to add to these initiative complementary programs in the fields of alternative medicine and psychosocial support for displaced pregnant women, since the emotional needs that must be addressed are quite complex.
