Resumen
Because of the importance that represents the environment, and taking into account that people in childhood have greater abstraction, a methodology for teaching environmental education was implemented from observation, experimentation and construction, in a group of students of the College Kennedy I.ED. headquarters B Antonia Santos. 62 were randomly selected students from grades 4, 5, of the educational institution in question, with which the methodology was implemented for 15 school days. The methodology consisted in the development of four phases (Observation, analysis, diagnosis and prescription) in which students were key players in the activities and targeted workshops, these were presented thematic moments of main shaft: water as a vital resource and Cow importance of the wetland. Subsequently it observed that all participants succeeded in abstracting the thematic children without presenting any barrier; On the contrary, it was verified that the students reinforced concepts and increased their knowledge.
