Ítem 15 años Rock al parque(Instituto Distrital de las Artes. IDARTES) Bogotá (Colombia). Alcaldía Mayor; Instituto Distrital de las Artes. Idartes; Fundación triDHAThe celebration of Rock al Parque's 15th anniversary represents 15 years of a political and cultural commitment to the recognition of urban cultures and the identity processes of young people and artists in Bogotá. Furthermore, it marks 15 years of the process and consolidation of a formula that sought, from its inception, to generate creative appropriation of public space, active coexistence, convergence of diversity, and strengthening the city's entertainment production sectors. Rock al Parque festivals are a public strategy that generates various benefits for the city and the cultural sector. First, they provide a meeting place for citizens in public spaces that belong to all Bogotá residents. Second, they demonstrate that this diverse, high-quality, relevant, and accessible cultural offering brings together a significant number of people around musical genres and subgenres that encompass bodily aesthetics and diverse ways of inhabiting the city in relation to music. They are, therefore, settings where diversity, inclusion, and interculturality are validated. Additionally, the festivals allow the District to promote and support artistic practices associated with different genres by highlighting the work of Bogotá and national creators at each festival through financial support and staging.Ítem Rock al parque: 15 años guapeando(Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá) Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá; Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá; Observatorio de Culturas de la Secretaría de Cultura, Recreación y Deporte; Posada, Margarita; Lema, Carlos; Panamericana Formas e Impresos; Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá; Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá; Observatorio de Culturas de la Secretaría de Cultura, Recreación y DeporteThe fifteenth anniversary of Rock al Parque marks fifteen years of a political and cultural commitment to the recognition of urban cultures and the identity processes of young people and artists in Bogotá. These fifteen years have consolidated a formula that sought, from its inception, to generate creative appropriation of public space, active coexistence, a convergence of diversity, and the strengthening of the city's productive entertainment sectors. This publication by the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra and the Observatory of Cultures aims to offer an overview of what Rock al Parque has meant for the city, from the perspectives of Astrid Harders, Eduardo Arias, José Gandour, Sandro Romero, Armando Silva, Otty Patiño, and its central chronicler and editor, Margarita Posada, who undertook the task of reconstructing the festival's history through testimonies and archival research to weave together the intersections, times, and modes of this free, public rock festival that identifies Bogotá in Latin America.
