Resumen
The fifteenth anniversary of Rock al Parque marks fifteen years of a political and cultural commitment to the recognition of urban cultures and the identity processes of young people and artists in Bogotá. These fifteen years have consolidated a formula that sought, from its inception, to generate creative appropriation of public space, active coexistence, a convergence of diversity, and the strengthening of the city's productive entertainment sectors. This publication by the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra and the Observatory of Cultures aims to offer an overview of what Rock al Parque has meant for the city, from the perspectives of Astrid Harders, Eduardo Arias, José Gandour, Sandro Romero, Armando Silva, Otty Patiño, and its central chronicler and editor, Margarita Posada, who undertook the task of reconstructing the festival's history through testimonies and archival research to weave together the intersections, times, and modes of this free, public rock festival that identifies Bogotá in Latin America.
The book contains photographs of artists, bands and audiences who have attended the festival over 15 years: 1994-2009
