Resumen
The celebration of Rock al Parque's 15th anniversary represents 15 years of a political and cultural commitment to the recognition of urban cultures and the identity processes of young people and artists in Bogotá. Furthermore, it marks 15 years of the process and consolidation of a formula that sought, from its inception, to generate creative appropriation of public space, active coexistence, convergence of diversity, and strengthening the city's entertainment production sectors. Rock al Parque festivals are a public strategy that generates various benefits for the city and the cultural sector. First, they provide a meeting place for citizens in public spaces that belong to all Bogotá residents. Second, they demonstrate that this diverse, high-quality, relevant, and accessible cultural offering brings together a significant number of people around musical genres and subgenres that encompass bodily aesthetics and diverse ways of inhabiting the city in relation to music. They are, therefore, settings where diversity, inclusion, and interculturality are validated. Additionally, the festivals allow the District to promote and support artistic practices associated with different genres by highlighting the work of Bogotá and national creators at each festival through financial support and staging.
