Francisco Javier [0000-0001-7017-2922]Tropical dry forests in Colombia have suffered a serious decrease in their coverage, causing them to be in danger, this makes them key ecosystems for conservation. The "El Quimbo" hydroelectric plant located in the department of Huila has an environmental compensation area of 11,079 hectares of tropical dry forest, where an Ecological Restoration Program was implemented, which has a Pilot Monitoring Plan in 140 hectares raised with the in order to know the effectiveness of the restoration program. It is currently in the evaluation stage of its effectiveness, in the demonstration phase of the impacts of restoration strategies. The present degree work focused on evaluating the performance of the planted material and the potential impact of the restoration strategies implemented in the shrublands and secondary forests of the central and southern zones of the compensation area: Edge expansion, Enrichment and Multinurses; For this, a database was structured that contained all the monitoring information of the three strategies mentioned, with which the Average Annual Increment (IMA) in height and 5 diameter at the height of the base (DAB) was calculated, in addition to the survival rates for the species and the average obtained according to the different strategies. The Edge Enlargement and Multinurse strategies presented survival rates above 80%, the latter being the one that presented the highest performance with 49.5 cm in height and 5.5 mm in DAB, while Enrichment obtained an average rate of 60%; the latter also recorded the lowest IMA in diameter and height (16.4 cm and 1.8 mm, respectively). Finally, as a sampling prototype, 38 permanent plots were established to start monitoring at the community assembly scale; Finally, a rating model was proposed to evaluate the impact generated by the implementation of the different strategies in shrublands and secondary forests, based on some key ecological attributes based on acceptance ranges presented by the reference ecosystems determined for the area. study; it was found that the Multinurse strategy has played a fundamental role in accelerating the successional dynamics of restored ecosystems.Ítem Desarrollo de un prototipo de monitoreo de material particulado y monóxido de carbono para evaluar la calidad del aire en el páramo del Verjón, en el Parque Ecológico de MatarredondaAyala Bolaños, Angel Daniel; Tapiero Guerra, Estefani; Bermúdez Bohórquez, Giovanni Rodrigo; 0000-0002-4744-160X; Bermúdez Bohórquez, Giovanni Rodrigo [0000-0002-4744-160X]This article presents the development of an air quality monitoring prototype implemented under the IoT (Internet of Things) architecture, which provides environmental information in paramo “El Verjón”, located in the “Parque Ecológico Matarredonda”, through the monitoring of 4 variables (particulate matter PM10, carbon monoxide, air temperature and humidity) that allow establishing the air quality index (AQI), contributing to the conservation of the páramos. (Colombia)Peláez Pulido, Rouchi Nadine; Zafra Mejía, Carlos Alfonso; Zafra Mejía, Carlos Alfonso [0000-0002-4061-4897]The present study was carried out in the city of Bogotá- Colombia using lichens as bioindicators of atmospheric pollution through the Atmospheric Purity Index (IPA). The research was carried out in the green areas surrounding six air quality-monitoring stations (Kennedy, San Cristóbal, Fairs, High Performance Center, Suba and Guaymaral), taking the Fraxinus uhdei (Wenz.) Lingelsh. (Urapán) species as a phorophyte, with 25 species of lichens in total. Data were obtained on the environmental variables and the criteria pollutants PM10, PM2,5 and O3 for each monitoring point for the years 2015 to 2019 this to find the Atmospheric Purity Index (IPA) and the Bogota Quality Index of the Air (IBOCA); Statistical correlation analyzes were performed with the data obtained from these three indices. It was found that lichens are affected by particulate matter PM10, PM2,5 and are tolerant to Ozone (O3), it was also found that the results of the IPA which resulted in poor air quality for the study areas does not have significant relationship with the data provided by the ICA and IBOCA since they register a regular to good air quality for the studied areas, which indicates that monitoring by means of lichens through the use of IPA is a tool with greater sensitivity to pollutants. The areas reported with the best air quality according to the IPA were as follow: Suba station followed by Guaymaral and Centro de Alto Rendimiento. The stations with the worst air quality were San Cristóbal, Ferias and Kennedy (Lichen desert). Canoparmelia carneopruinata, Lecanora caesiorubella, Physcia decorticata, and Flavopunctelia flaventior were identified as tolerant to contaminants, and Alyxoria varia, Caloplaca epiphora, and Parmotrema bangii as sensitive species.Ítem Metodología para la Integración de los componentes de las amenazas ambientales obtenidas por medio de RPAS (Sistema de Aeronave Pilotada Remotamente)Zárate Arévalo, Hernán Darío; William, Barragán ZaqueThis project identifies an appropriate and lower-cost method for the analysis and study of environmental phenomena to identify the susceptibility to threats due to flooding and mass removal. It is focused on analyzing environmental behaviors with the information captured through RPAS, with orthophotomosaics based on remote sensors with three-band spectral resolution and IRG and RGB real color combinations. The project analyzed and studied the identification of the susceptibility of environmental threats in urban areas with areas smaller than 300 hectares, for populations of less than 30,000 thousand inhabitants and it can be implemented in the populated centers of the rural area or urban area. The method structures the possible layers that can be generated with the data and orthophotomosaics constituted by means of the images captured by RPAS at a scale of 1: 5000, such as the ground cover, the slope, the geomorphology, the curvatures of the terrain. without using secondary information. However, the method failed to establish a methodology for the digitization of the geological and precipitation layers. To verify the method, tests were carried out in orthophotomosaic generated by the Government of Huila in the municipality of Nátaga in the years 2016 and 2018, composed of three spectral bands and a spatial resolution of 15 centimeters per pixel. With these inputs it is possible to identify the susceptibility to threat due to removal and flooding The results obtained serve as thematic information for the formulation or reformulation of the EOT, within the Colombian territory.Ítem MITTAGIS – Plugin de QGIS para la captura y visualización de datos de calidad del agua de fuentes hídricas en la empresa Mittag Water Engineering, Colombia.Lopez Daza, Jessica Lorena; Tenjo Ramos, Edison Alexander; Lopez Sevillano, Alexandra MariaWater purification and wastewater treatment is one of the most urgent civil and environmental engineering problems, therefore, in order to achieve an efficient and viable design of a wastewater and potable treatment plant, a study is required. careful engineering based on the quality of the source; knowing their physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of water sources, likewise, of the parameters that comply with the legal regulations in force in Colombia. Consequently, the need arose for the Mittag Water Engineering company to store and visualize the water quality data collected through different environmental monitoring carried out by certified laboratories to develop environmental consulting contracts awarded to the company, such as In response, MITTAGIS was implemented, a plugin in QGIS which allows loading, visualizing and storing environmental monitoring, in addition to validating its results with permissible limits of the standards Resolution 2115 of 2007 which determines the characteristics, basic instruments and frequencies of the control system and surveillance for the quality of water for human consumption and Resolution 0631 of 2015, which defines the physicochemical parameters and their maximum permissible values in the specific discharge of domestic and industrial wastewater.
