Ítem Caracterización del cambio de cobertura terrestre por factores antrópicos, usando lenguaje de programación y con enfoque REDD+: estudio de caso de Yavaraté, VaupésZárate Martinez, Alvaro Nicolás; López Aguilar, Maria Camila; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisThe present work consisted of determining the incidence of land cover changes in a study area of the Yavaraté territory (in Vaupés, Colombia) caused by the activities of the indigenous communities residing there. For this purpose, and based on Verra's methodology, the study area was delimited and characterized, data from optical and radar images were collected for the years 2016 and 2021, these data were analyzed through a series of procedures for further processing in the Google Earth Engine platform and several software such as ArcGIS and PCI Geomatica. After that, the change in land cover for that period of time was established, where the agents that caused the land transformation and its causes (direct and underlying) were identified. Finally, the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the change in land cover were estimated. The cartographic information obtained allows us to determine the land cover found in the study area and to establish the change in land cover for the selected time period: the decrease in forest cover was greater than the increase (5.69% and 2.50%, respectively). Likewise, carbon dioxide emissions were greater than those absorbed, which is equivalent to a total of 341,866.23 tons released; a situation that leaves the panorama open for REDD+ projects to be formulated and implemented in this area. Similarly, this case study identifies that the indigenous communities are agents of change in their own territory and have a direct impact on certain land covers where they have established their settlements and their subsistence agriculture chagras with a rotational system, which generates a dynamic of release (7.05% of total emissions) but also of capture (18.10% of total absorption) of carbon dioxide equivalent.Ítem Diseño de un sistema de información geográfico enfocado en los procesos de inspección de la dirección de autoridad a los servicios a la navegación aérea (DASNA)Mahecha Mora, Nubia Katerine; Vargas Rey, Cyndi Camila; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisThis report shows the tasks carried out and results obtained after having developed the degree project as an internship in the Directorate of Authority for Air Navigation Services (DASNA) of Civil Aeronautics, for the Meteorological Service for Air Navigation ( MET), the Aeronautical Information Service AIS and the Communications, Navigation and Surveillance Service (CNS). In order to satisfy the needs that are being presented in the DASNA, due to the lack of standardization, delays in execution times and the difficulty of carrying out adequate control over the processes of the Air Navigation Inspectors (ANI).Ítem Estructuración de una base de datos espacial implementando un geovisor para la visualización y seguimiento de la información predial de los parques que administra el Instituto Distrital de Recreación y Deporte (IDRD)(Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas) Beltrán, María Fernanda; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisIt focuses on the implementation of the LADM-COL model in Colombia, with the purpose of structuring a spatial database for land administration and the visualization of property information, especially in relation to public parks managed by the IDRD in Bogotá. The importance of this model is highlighted for establishing a common base of territorial data among governmental entities, facilitating interoperability and access to updated information without the need for additional interpretation tasks. Additionally, an ArcGIS Online viewer is implemented, allowing for a more complete integration and dynamic visualization of data, ensuring greater efficiency in the management and analysis of geospatial information, facilitating collaboration and data exchange between IDRD personnel and other entities involved in the administration of public parks.Ítem Estructuración y materialización de una “guía metodológica” para la generación de inventarios georreferenciados de señalización vial a partir de tecnología lidar e imágenes rgb en 360° para la Empresa Dymaxion S.A.S.Marquez Enciso, Lina Marcela; Eslava Avellaneda, Diego Mauricio; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisThe internship project, conducted in collaboration with Dymaxion S.A.S., was centered around developing a "Methodological Guide" for creating a georeferenced inventory of road signs. This document addresses the company's requirement for a tool to standardize processes and streamline the time required for obtaining such inventories. The guide encompasses an overview of the equipment and software employed, crucial conceptual definitions, and a step-by-step process—from post-processing field-captured data to the ultimate generation of the georeferenced inventory of road signs.Ítem Estudio del uso de imágenes satelitales multitemporales y multisensor, para la identificación del cambio de cobertura a causa de la minería ilegal en el municipio de IstminaCáceres Muñoz, Maria Fernanda; Peña Sosa, Andrea Natalia; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisIllegal mining in Colombia presents an urgent and complex challenge with severe environmental, economic, and social repercussions, as well as significant difficulties for governmental management. This project focuses on identifying the most effective method to detect, quantify, and monitor this illicit activity using advanced remote sensing technologies and geospatial analysis. A comprehensive analysis was conducted using remote sensor data, including optical and radar information from satellite constellations such as Landsat and Sentinel, covering the period from 2014 to 2023. The municipality of Istmina in Chocó was selected as the study area due to its high incidence of illegal mining. Throughout the project, various image analysis and processing activities were performed to assess the impacts of illegal mining on deforestation. The integral approach included preprocessing radar and optical data, land cover classification, multitemporal image comparison, change detection zone generation, and the application of synergistic techniques. The ultimate goal is to identify the optimal method to support monitoring efforts by governmental entities, particularly under adverse natural conditions such as high cloud cover and rugged terrain. This study will provide a detailed insight into the issue of illegal mining in Istmina, facilitating informed decision-making through the use of satellite technologies and promoting public awareness of this critical issue.Ítem Estudio multitemporal del crecimiento urbano de uso y cobertura en la ciudad de Neiva- Huila, mediante imágenes satelitales de Landsat 5, 7 y Sentinel 1Aguirre Prada, Angel Jacob; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisThis multitemporal analysis has as its central objective to analyze and measure urban growth in terms of use and coverage for the city of Neiva; It is essential to highlight that when the term urban growth is mentioned in this work, reference is made to the growth of the urban sprawl or urban area that occurs within the urban perimeter for the Municipality of Neiva - Huila. The total urban perimeter area for this Municipality is 4,594 hectares according to the Mayor's Office of Neiva (s.f.) and according to DANE (2005 - 2020) it is 4,893.21 hectares. In this case, the urban perimeter obtained by DANE is used for its practicality and validity, making this cartography the one that best adjusts to the cartography produced at the National level. To achieve what has been proposed, it is based on digital image processing techniques, which are the following: unsupervised classification and supervised classification. These will be done in the Erdas Imagine software; It seeks to verify and observe which of these techniques gives results more similar to the reality of the terrain, in terms of the 6 coverages involved for the development of the objectives, these are: bodies of water, herbaceous vegetation, wastelands, crops, buildings and forests; These proposed coverages are of their own authorship, based on the first level of the nomenclature proposed by the CIAF (Geographic Information Research and Development Center – IGAC, Colombia) classification system for use and coverage.Ítem Evaluación de la utilización de imágenes satelitales de radar Sentinel 1 para determinar el impacto antrópico en el Páramo de SanturbánHoyos Zuleta, Rober Andrey; Pérez Barrera, Lina Marcela; Herrera Escorcia, Jose LuisThe accelerated development of cities has generated a greater requirement on the part of the population for natural resources for their maintenance and sustenance day after day; This degree work allows a first approach to the ecosystem change that has occurred in areas bordering the Paramo of Santurban as well as in its interior, which includes 30 municipalities regulated by the Regional Autonomous Corporations for the departments of Santander and Norte of Santander, with an approximate extension of 142,000 ℎ𝑎, with changes in the land surface due to the actions that man exercises in this jurisdiction and that have intensified over the years, this through the analysis of Sentinel radar satellite images 1 merged with Landsat 8 multispectral imagery.
