Resumen
This document gathers the results regarding to the internship experience “Páramos and climate change” sponsored by Tropenbos International Colombia. Classroom Projects developed in the town of Fomeque (Cundinamarca) at Secondary School Monseñor Agustín Gutiérrez (with 9th grade students) and Elementary School in “El Paval” lane (with students from Kinder garden to 5th grade) are exposed here. Along one academic year, students and their teachers worked collectively about Chingaza Páramo, with the aim either to know water quality using bugs as indicators; bring town history closer through endemic fauna from the páramo; or simply to understand what “páramo” itself could mean. This project was created with the main goal of exploring alternate perspectives about environmental education, framed within the context of páramo, and by using the Classroom Project methodology accomplish to involve children as active agents on their own learning process in their inmediate surroundings.
