Incorporación de los SIG en los Procesos de Enseñanza - Aprendizaje de las Ciencias Sociales Integradas en la Educación Básica Secundaria en Bogotá

Abstract

This project promoted the use of the technological resources of the Geographic Information Systems - GIS, through the implementation in the teaching - learning process of the social sciences and geography in the educational institutions of Bogota DC from a virtual course denominated "Learning Geography in SIGlo XXI", which was developed through the educational portal Colombia Aprende of the Ministry of National Education - MEN, exclusively for teachers of the area of ​​Social Sciences and Geography, training them in GIS tools in the platform of ArcGIS Online to From the constructivist methodology of teaching, fulfilling the guidelines established by the MEN. Subsequently a call was made to the teachers participating in the virtual course, to conduct a workshop for students of basic and secondary education in order to teach Social Sciences and Geography and in turn develop an interaction between students and GIS, based on the Knowledge gained in training.
