Resumen
The technical-environmental feasibility study for the legalization of the Mirador de Tocaimita neighborhood evaluated the necessary conditions to regulate this informal settlement located in the locality of Usme, Bogotá D.C. Technical and environmental criteria were analyzed using Geographic Information Systems , complemented by visits and consultations with the community and relevant district entities. As a result, two main obstacles to regularization were identified: the partial location of the neighborhood within the Entre Nubes District Ecological Park and the presence of high-risk areas prone to landslides. Through hazard and vulnerability analysis, critical areas were determined, and it was defined that the resettlement of homes in restricted zones is the most effective measure to achieve the settlement’s regularization. It was concluded that, under current conditions, only 2.33 hectares meet the technical and environmental requirements for legalization, which is viable as it eliminates impacts resulting from the lack of infrastructure for environmental sanitation.
