Resumen
The primary purpose of this work is to examine the communication barriers experienced by deaf people in national television media, such as the disparity between communication and language acquisition, recognizing sign language as the first language and that Spanish is transmitted through a learning process. The categorization of the inclusion process implemented by television channels to fulfill the fundamental right of deaf people to access information focuses on the population interacting with the San Francisco IED (District Educational Institution) school in Bogotá, one of the nine district schools with an inclusion program for deaf people. Teachers, language models, interpreters, students, and parents are considered, as they can speak from their experiences with the adaptation of television media for the deaf.
