Resumen
Education is a continuous process whose main objective is learning and developing skills and knowledge in students. One of the factors that significantly influence the quality of education is the learning environment in which students develop. An appropriate learning environment can foster effective learning, while an inadequate one can hinder the learning process. A learning environment is defined as the physical, social and virtual environment in which the educational process takes place. It goes beyond traditional classrooms, integrating technological elements, digital resources and pedagogical strategies that encourage active participation, collaboration and personalization of learning. The main objective of this work is to analyze learning environments from a quantitative perspective. To this end, a study will be carried out using a descriptive quantitative approach to analyze the factors that influence the learning environment and its relationship with the academic performance of students. In this sense, a review of the literature will be carried out to establish the theoretical bases and key concepts related to learning environments. Likewise, the research hypotheses will be proposed and the variables that will be the object of study in this work will be defined. To carry it out, a survey will be used that will be applied to a representative sample of 100 students from different semesters of the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at the Francisco José de Caldas District University and statistical techniques will be used to analyze the data obtained. The results of this study can contribute to the understanding of the relationship between learning environments and academic performance, which in turn can serve to improve the quality of education and promote the development of skills and competencies in students. 10 Finally, we will reflect on the challenges and opportunities that arise when implementing learning environments in the current educational context. We will analyze how to overcome the barriers and maximize the benefits of these innovative environments, considering aspects such as teacher training, technological infrastructure and curricular adaptation. It is important to highlight that this research work is part of the framework of Institutional Self-Assessment, corresponding to the Educational Environment, with a view to Institutional Accreditation.
