Resumen
In Colombia, the causes associated with the generation of waste have led to today reported figures of approximately 27,000 tons per day generated from solid waste and reach almost 250,000 tons per year generated for the case of hazardous waste. The generation of waste is, at the moment, a little controllable activity. One of the main indicators to analyze the generation of ordinary solid waste is per capita production (PPC), which indicates the rate of generation of waste per inhabitant per day, this value allows an analysis of waste generation taking historical series of the same , can indicate the growth or decrease in the production of waste, as well as the effectiveness of the campaigns of reuse and minimization of waste applied in several cities. (Ochoa, M. (2016). The following project aims to formulate a PGIRS in the Logistics School of the National Army, based on the need they present after visualizing the shortcomings in the management of solid waste. Currently, the School of Logistics has an area of 274 m2, where approximately 2,500 people meet daily; who in turn generate different types of waste, where the management and disposal of them is not favorable, because they do not have sufficient knowledge, the importance of the treatment that should be given to the waste is not significant for the population, the school it has the proper containers for separation at the source but they are not used in the right way, actions that diminish the development of the activities that help to improve this impact. Likewise, it is projected to carry out constant trainings to the personnel of the school directed to environmental education (Awareness of the natural resources, recycling, handling of ordinary and dangerous solid waste) looking for the continuous improvement what allows the population to improve their quality of life within the institution, mitigating, reusing, recycling and disposing of waste properly, avoiding the risk of acquiring different diseases stemming from the mishandling of these. With the recycling it is proposed to generate an income to the institution that can be used for other needs; in such a way that the execution and implementation of the plan sensitizes the population that remains in the school, and responds to the need that they presently present, guaranteeing an adequate functioning of the system based on the criteria contemplated in the current regulations, avoiding possible fines or penalties for non-compliance with these management.
