Resumen
This project addresses the operational challenges faced by officials from the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic during field inspections, such as adverse weather conditions, loss of physical records, inadequate photographic documentation, and logistical limitations. In the absence of an institutional technological solution, a web-based application was developed to capture structured and georeferenced information in real time, attach photographic evidence, and export data in formats like Excel, KMZ, and GeoJSON. The main objective was to develop an application in Python that allows data to be recorded directly in the field, improving the traceability, accuracy, and efficiency of the process. The tool includes a user-friendly web interface, automatic geolocation features, and customizable fields tailored to the specific needs of each fiscal control activity. An agile Scrum methodology was adopted, and two surveys were conducted: the first to assess initial perceptions regarding the use of technology in fieldwork, and the second to evaluate the application’s usefulness and user acceptance after practical application. The results revealed that 54.2% of the officials frequently encounter difficulties when using physical formats, while 100% considered the application to be very useful. Additionally, 79.2% expressed willingness to use the tool in future inspections, highlighting the benefits of automatic georeferencing and photographic support. In conclusion, this technological solution is innovative, relevant, and feasible, showing a high level of acceptance and strong potential to be institutionalized as an official tool to enhance the efficiency and transparency of field-based fiscal oversight.
