Resumen
Scientific knowledge has been fundamental to achieve significant progress in improving the living conditions of the human being, becoming the only valid and unquestionable knowledge based on reason and supported by evidence, which led to other forms of knowledge being forgotten. However, due to the situation in the world regarding the environmental crisis, there has been a need to revalue the knowledge of ethnic and local communities distributed in different countries. Therefore, the dialogue of knowledge between the different ways of seeing and interpreting the world has begun to work, so that, through the dialogue, solutions can be given to problems that arise in different social contexts to conserve the planet's biodiversity. In the case of Colombia, the Humboldt Institute in charge of research on the country's biodiversity has recognized the importance of other forms of knowledge and has begun to work with social groups through the dialogue of knowledge to contribute to the integral management of biodiversity Colombian In this context, this work contributed to the construction of a database on relevant information that involves ethnic and local communities found in the institutional repository and document management system, surveys were conducted on the strategies used by researchers at the Humboldt Institute to disseminate the information of the different investigations; which will support the institutional relationship policy with ethnic and local communities that is under construction, and will also rethink the methodologies and strategies for research and dissemination of them.
