Resumen
The present research project aims to approach more equitable gender relations between boys and girls aged 5 to 8 in a non-formal education foundation. For this reason, the project is based on the educational action research method Additionally, it highlights the use of gender stereotypes and roles in childhood, accompanied by sexist comments and verbal, physical, and psychological violence, which promote inequitable gender relations among children and hinder equity and respect between them. Given the above, a pedagogical proposal is put forward to guide boys and girls toward more equitable gender relations, based on respect and awareness of the gender stereotypes and roles they reproduce in their daily lives, facilitating the development of new understandings about ideas concerning men and women.
