Resumen
This document reports a research project carried out intending to promote the discussion of racial issues in the multicultural field of English and Spanish as Second Languages through the identification of pedagogical possibilities that tackle diversity from a social justice perspective. This project arises from previous research projects of researchers from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Universidad EAN, and Instituto Caro y Cuervo in which they have discussed how the different dimensions of racialized discourses have an impact on English and Spanish learning students’ identities and teachers’ pedagogical practices inside the language classroom. Then, our purpose with this project is to give continuity to the already described projects to develop new pedagogical possibilities in Second Language Teaching from a multicultural and social justice perspective.
