Resumen
The document Reading in Difference: The Body as a Third Space for Inclusion analyzes accessibility at the National Library of Colombia for people with sensory disabilities. Through an internship, the study examines the barriers these individuals face when accessing information and proposes a more inclusive approach to reading, considering the body as a key tool for accessibility. National and international disability regulations are reviewed, along with theoretical frameworks that have shaped the concept of inclusion in libraries. The research highlights the importance of reasonable accommodations, the implementation of accessible technologies, and staff awareness to ensure truly inclusive spaces. It concludes that accessibility should not be limited to the mere availability of adapted materials but must be integrated into all library dynamics to promote equal participation for everyone.
