Resumen
This research, titled “Characterization of Managerial Leadership in Relation to Strategic Management Processes for Monitoring and Self-Evaluation at Gimnasio Nuevo Reino School,” aims to identify and strengthen the strategies implemented by the school management team to improve institutional evaluation processes. Using a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach and the Atlas.ti software, semi-structured interviews and key institutional documents such as the PEI, board meeting minutes, and the school’s code of conduct were analyzed. The findings reveal that although progress has been made in monitoring and self-evaluation practices, greater systematization and integration are needed to consolidate effective managerial leadership focused on continuous improvement. The final proposal includes a three-phase action plan that promotes active participation from educational stakeholders and emphasizes transformational leadership as a foundation for achieving sustainable educational quality. This study contributes both to institutional practice and to the field of educational management, serving as a reference for future research and school improvement processes.
