Resumen
This project proposes the implementation of a geovisor voter turnout in the 2022 Colombian presidential elections, with the aim of providing a useful tool for decision-making and citizen analysis. It arose from the need to understand the territorial dynamics that explain low voter turnout, allowing for the identification of the factors influencing this phenomenon. The research applied spatial statistical techniques to sociodemographic and economic data at the municipal level, in order to select the most influential variables and construct an explanatory model of electoral behavior. Based on the results, a web-based geovisor was designed and implemented with features geared toward territorial exploration of the data, ensuring ease of use and accessibility for users. The tool allows visualization of spatial patterns of voter turnout, facilitating the identification of critical areas and the planning of targeted interventions. In conclusion, the value of spatial analysis is highlighted as an input for strengthening citizen participation and supporting institutions such as the National Registry and electoral observation organizations in developing strategies to mitigate abstention and promote a more representative democracy.
