Resumen
This work is a literary research and creation project that focuses on the process of writing a book of poems, exploring the stages of grief as described by Kübler-Ross, through my own experience of mourning the loss of my mother. In this collection, I reflect on death, absence, and how art and arts education can be used to create a literary tool that offers comfort to those going through similar losses, helping to understand grief as a shared journey. Each stage of grief is addressed to help comprehend and heal these sorrows. Additionally, I draw on both poetry and literary references from authors who have also delved into pain, loss, and grief surrounding the death of a loved one, creating a connection between my personal experiences and the perspectives of various writers. Ultimately, this poetry collection aims to build bridges with readers, offering them a space for catharsis and a redefinition of pain. As a future educator, I hope to create teaching strategies within arts education that address grief and bring this process into the classroom through literature, especially poetry.
