Abstract

During the training period as a topography technologist, knowledge related to it has been acquired, in areas such as planimetry, altimetry, cartography, geodesy and other procedures that require topography, such as the design of roads, their location and processes in works either be uplifting or staking. Within the academy, the pertinent practices and field trips have also been carried out in each subject, whatever they are to strengthen and put into practice the theoretical knowledge, during the IGAC experience the processes on the review of information have been carried out from field commissions in both geodesy and leveling, for which it has been necessary to put into practice what has been learned especially in the area of geodesy since for the verification of information not only the theory is needed but there is also an analytical part important also the tools provided by the institute that help to fulfill the proposed activities. The IGAC is the main national entity that provides geographic, cartographic, agrological, cadastral and geodetic information. Therefore, it is one of the pioneers in implementing techniques in the previously affected fields, but in this case it is necessary to focus mainly on geodesy, which is what the internship is based on, as for the subject the institution is the one that provides the National georeferencing network, in addition to its permanent stations which can carry out a process of positioning and referencing a point, also has a defined structure in terms of information management which allows work to be enabled through platforms as GEOCARTO which collects both geodetic and leveling information and allows organizing in a way that allows easy access, it can be said that the institute is the most suitable place to carry out activities in the field of geodesy because of its vast experience and Multiple tools that allow information management. The internship is one of the modalities of degree used by the district university, as can be seen in article 4 of the agreement No. 38 of 2015, where it can be clearly seen that to opt for the title of topography technologist in modality of Internships must be completed with a total of 192 hours of practice in a public or private entity, in this case the internship was conducted at the IGAC institution of which it was previously conducted.
