Resumen
This study presents the implementation of a flood simulation model in the municipality of Nechí, Antioquia, based on data collected through topographic and bathymetric surveying. GNSS technology, digital echosounders, and aerial photogrammetry were used to obtain high-precision data of the terrain and water body. The data were then processed to generate digital models and integrated into HEC-RAS software to simulate hydrodynamic flood scenarios. The results demonstrate the model’s high accuracy and its effectiveness as a tool for risk management. The study concludes that the quality of topographic data is essential for model reliability, recommending continuous updates and integration of real-time data to improve preparedness for extreme events.
