Resumen
This research, under the research–innovation modality, presents the design and evaluation of a sustainable housing project in the Colorado district, Alto de la Cumbre sector, in the municipality of Moniquirá, Boyacá. The main objective was to develop a design that addresses the precarious housing conditions in rural areas through a technically, environmentally, economically, and socially viable proposal. The methodology was structured in three phases: characterization of the abiotic, biotic, and socioeconomic environment; architectural design of the house and appropriate technologies using sustainable local materials, and 3D modeling; and a comprehensive evaluation of the design. The evaluation was carried out using indicators of environmental sustainability, technical feasibility, financial viability, and social acceptability. The results show that it is possible to implement a housing and appropriate technologies model adapted to the rural context, improving the quality of life, promoting the efficient use of natural resources, and being replicable in similar communities, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
