La presente investigación tiene como finalidad resaltar en el conocimiento
ancestral las alternativas al uso de la Medicina Occidental en función de las
plantas Emenagogas. Entendiendo las plantas emenagogas como aquellas que
tienen un uso y cumplen un papel en la regulación de ciclos. Esta investigación se
logró mediante un enfoque inductivo - deductivo que nos permite hacer un
posterior análisis de tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo. Dentro de los resultados
obtenidos existen múltiples factores culturales y sociales enmarcados en el
conocimiento ancestral que han sido influenciados por la medicina occidental
cercada por la industria farmacéutica; dentro de estos se encuentran la
divulgación, reporte y conocimiento de especies emenagogas, la curación y
sanación que tienen estas plantas, manejos, usos y el efecto placebo que conlleva
la implementación de estas prácticas. Adicional a esto se concretó la construcción
de una red a partir de la investigación a la memoria biocultural con factores que
intervienen en los saberes ancestrales de las Plantas Emenagogas, encontrando
que hay 3 instancias que actúan en pro de la preservación de estos saberes:
¿cómo se construye?, ¿cómo se resguarda? y los factores influyentes en la
actualidad y en el futuro del conocimiento. Para concluir la introducción de la
industria farmacéutica en un principio ejerció una influencia negativa en la
construcción del imaginario hacia las plantas emenagogas, pero gracias a
procesos, desarrollos de la ciencia y argumentos tejidos desde ámbitos culturales,
sociales y de tradición oral, se generó una transformación en la percepción de
estas plantas.
