Resumen
This document presents the formulation of a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (CSMMP) for the Mamá Canguro Kindergarten, located in Engativá, Bogotá. Its objective is to systematically and sustainably address the problem of waste management in the school environment, based on an initial assessment that identified sources of generation, disposal practices, and perceptions of the educational community. Based on this assessment, strategies for source separation, infrastructure strengthening, educational and awareness programs, and regulatory compliance are proposed. The plan has an educational and participatory approach, seeking to involve teachers, parents, and children as agents of change, promoting responsible habits, reduction, recycling, and reuse of materials. Using a methodology based on documentary research, observation, surveys, and interviews, the CSMMP proposes technical and administrative programs that promote environmental culture in the kindergarten and offer a replicable model for other similar institutions.
