Resumen
The present investigation will be focused on the recognition of the peace process that took place between the MAQL and the national goverment, and it came forward from 1987 to 1991, looking for it's contributions to the national constituent assembly, which implies, first of all, to investigate about the origins and development of the armed movement, in order to describe in detail the peace process between the guerrilla and the goverment of Virgilio Barco (1986 - 1990) and Cesar Gaviria (1990 - 1994), then, the political and economical conditions that took the MAQL to set the first approachments will be identified, while the politics for peace that both of these goverments presented, will be specified and finally, the participation of the indigenous communities on the national constituent assembly will be mentioned. As the main finding, we have to say that the transversal axis of the indigenous struggle at the national level through history, is the defense of the land, which leads to the defense of cosmovision necessarily.
