Resumen
The AOSM team, part of the Digital & Integration area of SLB, provides services for the company’s proprietary applications to ECOPETROL. There is a group of petrotechnical applications that operate locally on the digital workstations of employees or contractors. The user’s first interaction with the application is the request for access. Once the request reaches the AOSM team, an engineer is assigned to manage the ticket, communicate with the user, meet with them, install the application, and configure the license. Currently, the AOSM team faces challenges due to the lack of human resources and the commissioning process for these applications, which, while straightforward for an engineer, is a daily task. Each request can take hours, days, or even weeks to complete, depending on various factors, primarily the availability of the user and the engineer. To solve this problem, the team opts for the systematization and automation of the commissioning of petrotechnical applications. For this, a web application is used as an integrative tool, saving time and reducing engineer intervention, allowing them to focus their productivity on other aspects of their work and training. The web application includes manuals, diagrams, and guides to assist all users and integrates Microsoft authentication, ECOPETROL’s Active Directory, and installation scripts, resulting in a workflow that has been tested and validated based on functionality, performance, usability, security, and feasibility by the AOSM team.
