Análisis del impacto de los egresados del proyecto curricular de Ingeniería Ambiental de la Universidad Francisco José de Caldas en el medio social y académico

This work contributes to the systematic and continuous self-assessment processes that the Environmental Engineering Program of the Universidad Francisco José de Caldas, according to the guidelines of the Consejo Nacional de Acreditación (CNA). The main objective of this study focuses on the analysis of the impact of its graduates in the social and academic environments from their respective settings, in the context of the Improvement Plan 2018-2030. To this end, a case study was conducted that included the collection of secondary information and the application of surveys to 179 graduates and 13 employers. The data obtained were processed by Exploratory Descriptive Analysis and Multiple Correspondence Analysis. Additionally, indicators corresponding to Factor 4 were evaluated, obtaining an average score of 3.9. The results made it possible to establish a typology of graduates according to their contributions in the social and academic environments, where it was found that the main contributions in the academic environment are generated by postgraduate training (specializations, masters and doctorates), and in lower percentage by obtaining academic recognition and participation in research groups and academic production; and the main contributions in the social environment are generated from their profession as environmental engineers, and in lower percentage by the participation in environmental and development projects.
