Resumen
The project consists of the design of a model for the collection and use of organic waste, such as processed and unprocessed plant waste, in the town of Usaquén, Bogotá D.C., Colombia. In this sense, a market analysis was carried out in order to understand the possible demand of clients who require the service, considering ethological, cultural and economic aspects. In addition, an analysis of the current offer regarding the production of organic waste in the town was carried out. The transportation routes to be implemented are designed, according to the Zonal Planning Units (UPZ) of the town. Additionally, a protocol for the proper management of organic waste was developed. In this context, the recycling plant is designed, which includes the selection of efficient and safe machinery and equipment, positioning itself as an essential component in this project. The project also includes the evaluation of financial viability, which includes cost estimation, financial projections and return on investment analysis. This approach not only responds to the increasing generation of organic waste, but also encourages sustainable practices, contributes to economic development and the well-being of the target community. In this way, the project seeks to address the problem of organic waste management in the capital, alleviating the burden of waste that currently reaches the landfill. The correct management of organic waste is proposed as a solution to current pollution, such as the dumping of waste in bodies of water, streets and urban areas, as well as to health problems caused directly or indirectly by vectors of infections and diseases, in addition to contributing to the protection of the environment and the fight against climate change.
