Resumen
As part of the open classroom process carried out during the alternative curriculum at the ASAB Faculty of Arts, professors Nazzly Bernal and Diego Lozano share with us the work "A Song for Peace," performed in the classroom: "Songs and Dances of Río: Land of Resistance."
"A Song for Peace" is the result of the open classroom initiative "Songs and Dances of Río: Land of Resistance," led by professors Nazzly Bernal and Diego Lozano, from the Dance Art Curriculum Project. It serves as a place for dialogue, empowerment, knowledge, and learning about the importance of these rhythms and songs, which converge on the banks of the river and are synonymous with resistance, for Colombian history and society. From this experience, and at the initiative of the students, this composition, made into song and movement, emerges, establishing a message of peace and hope for these challenging times. It is highlighted that the music, lyrics, dance, and vocals are from our students and teachers who were part of this process.
