As part of the open classroom process carried out during the alternative curriculum at the ASAB Faculty of Arts, professors Nazzly Bernal and Diego Lozano share with us the work "A Song for Peace," performed in the classroom: "Songs and Dances of Río: Land of Resistance." "A Song for Peace" is the result of the open classroom initiative "Songs and Dances of Río: Land of Resistance," led by professors Nazzly Bernal and Diego Lozano, from the Dance Art Curriculum Project. It serves as a place for dialogue, empowerment, knowledge, and learning about the importance of these rhythms and songs, which converge on the banks of the river and are synonymous with resistance, for Colombian history and society. From this experience, and at the initiative of the students, this composition, made into song and movement, emerges, establishing a message of peace and hope for these challenging times. It is highlighted that the music, lyrics, dance, and vocals are from our students and teachers who were part of this process.

The repository, a website, presents the life and work of Beatriz Kopp de Gómez and Karen Balg de Gensorowsky, two outstanding teachers and dancers who played a crucial role in the professionalization of dance in Colombia. Both women are recognized not only for their artistic contribution but also for their activism in defense of human rights and dignity in dance. The website highlights the importance of "recognizing" their legacy, connecting the past with the present and the future. It emphasizes that recognizing their contributions allows us to value dance as a dignified and meaningful act. In addition, it mentions that the archive is a space to explore and understand the rights of the body, sexuality, and existence. The repository includes sections such as "Recognize," "Are You or Will I Be?", and "I Am," which invite reflection on the identity and legacy of these dancers in the history of Colombian dance.
