Resumen
In view of the interest in discovering and creating proposals that stimulate reading processes at school, this research focused on promoting the reading of children's literature through the use of children's rounds in students from grade 203 at I.E.D. Emma Villegas de Gaitán School, proposing that both artistic expressions, when related, allow for more enriching and didactic educational processes. The research was carried out through the staging of a didactic sequence, which was divided into five phases made up of twelve sessions, in which the work of Jairo Anibal Niño was mainly used; author selected for his use of Colombian Spanish, the musicality of his literature and his particular interest in childhood. In the process, it was possible to observe how the students were motivated by the use of children's rounds and how they allowed a greater recognition not only of the stories, poems and fables worked on, but also of their respective structures, as well as creating a space for enjoyment and literary creation. In conclusion, children's rounds can become an essential tool for promoting the reading of children's literature as a space for appreciation and aesthetic creation.
