Resumen
The evaluation of pesticide residues in honey provides information on the environment and product quality. In this study, the physicochemical characterization was made with some parameters of the Colombian Technical Standard (1273/2007), with which determine the quality of 14 samples of honey from villages of Cundinamarca, the conclusion was that the samples differ in their properties due to their origin and meet the quality standards. The pesticide residues presence in honey was evaluated also, the analytical method of gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry was validated for the determination of residues of the following pesticides; dichlorvos, monocrotophos, fenitrothion, malathion, chlorpyrifos, profenofos, lambda-cyhalothrin and cypermethrin. The results obtained in the trials showed that the methodology was selective, specific, accurate and precise. They were extracted, purified and analyzed, 13 of 14 trials of honey from bees supplied by beekeepers in the area, the 46.1% of the samples showed residues of the chlorpyrifos pesticide and only 7.7% showed a concentration higher than the maximum residue limit (MRL) for the compound chlorpyrifos, established in European Union regulation No. 7.7%. 2016/60. According to the results of the surveys, the presence of residues of the pesticide chlorpyrifos was attributed to the existence of potato (Solanum tuberosum) crops close to the apiaries.
