Creando con la muerte: reflexiones artísticas sobre la reivindicación simbólica de la muerte para la construcción de identidades

Abstract

The present work in research-creation constitutes an approach to death from its possible symbologies, these allow us to concretize a creative route that seeks to generate a mediation between the cruel state of death in order to re-signify it and make room for new meanings of it. These meanings are exposed through the elaboration of a illustrated book for young people, which manifests those other possible ways of dying, in addition to the natural and biological state that this term represents, so that in its existence to communicate to the adolescent reader the opportunities that the end of life gives, guided these towards a renewal of contexts and in turn, allowing the strengthening of the subject and his own identity. This exercise aims to be an example of the thematic diversity that can be generated within art, to direct itself from a critical discourse that works as an educational tool and, also, be a creative reference point from which all interested parties can be inspired to create their own interpretations of a theme specific, which contributes to the birth of a cathartic and vindicator exploration.
