Obstáculos, errores y dificultades provocados por la polisemia del signo “-” en estudiantes para profesor de matemáticas

Abstract

This degree project will take the whole number as a mathematical content, focusing on the different interpretations of the sign "-", as it brings together different meanings that in school are usually reduced to just one: subtraction. Thus, the re-signification of algebraic and arithmetic knowledge of the whole number will bring with it errors, obstacles and difficulties associated with the treatment of this sign. This work will focus on these errors, obstacles and difficulties that students for mathematics teachers, from the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, have to face when understanding the different interpretations of the sign "-".
