Resumen
This study presents an analysis on the participation and recognition of women research in social sciences based on their representation in the country's academic validation structure, in specific case of the three following public universities in Bogota: National Pedagogical University, Francisco José de Caldas District University and National University of Colombia. This work characterized the participation of the researchers in three general instances, both in the area of social sciences as well as in their recognition as researchers at different levels of classification and their participation as members of research groups and leaders of these. In this way, this research applies a qualitative approach in which elements of the gender point of view are settled to produce a comparative analysis taking three heterogeneous data sources that make up three data analysis segments. As a result, it exposes the conditions of exclusion that women have faced in academia due to their gender condition and the normalization of their exclusion, while academic insititutions have few or no concerns about enacting parity as part of their responsability.
