Resumen
The degree work guidelines for agrotourism development around coffee in the village of El Ocaso, Zipacón-Cundinamarca aims to establish what direction small coffee producers who are interested in agrotourism as an additional source of income should take, because sustainability economic situation of a family that depends exclusively on coffee cultivation that is becoming less and less profitable, which is why alternatives must be sought in the area that do not generate negative impacts on the environment and that do not force them to abandon the countryside to migrate to the cities, or are persuaded to parcel out their farms and thus change the type of land from rural to suburban; also implement more lucrative crops but that have a greater impact on the environment, as is the case in the area with foliage crops which require excessive use of pesticides and herbicides, which leads to contamination of the soil, water and air, negatively affecting surrounding ecosystems and human health. The first objective of this degree work is to evaluate international institutions and their support for agrotourism, as well as the current regulations or requirements in Colombia focused on agrotourism, identify and evaluate the potential and external challenges where the farms associated with the implementation of the agrotourism, evaluate internal strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities of coffee-producing farms to characterize and define the possible role within the agrotourism circuit and finally define specific strategies and recommendations so that coffee-producing farms can implement agrotourism as a basis for local development, defining the guidelines to create a coffee route. Therefore, this degree work will contribute or direct the coffee community in the area to understand how implementing agrotourism can be a good source of income by taking advantage of existing resources, satisfying market demands, generating local economic benefits and contributing to the cultural and environmental preservation.
