Resumen
This research presents a qualitative analysis of the housing in the Altamira neighborhood of Bogotá D.C. The study aims to evaluate the seismic vulnerability of informally constructed masonry homes, identifying construction deficiencies to analyze their behavior during an earthquake. The methodology begins with a visual and comprehensive characterization of the neighborhood to identify the properties it includes. Five criteria of vulnerability are examined: structural deficiencies, geometric defects, topographical location issues, positioning defects, and the quality of materials and/or skilled labor. After a general evaluation of the properties, a sample of homes is selected for applying the AIS-410-23 checklist: "Evaluation and Reduction of Seismic Vulnerability in Masonry Housing," enabling a qualitative assessment of the seismic vulnerability of existing constructions.
