Resumen
This research seeks to transcend the traditional way of orienting the supply chain in the context of mass consumption food marketing and distribution companies, adopting sustainability as a key component for business progress, all this through a methodological proposal for the implementation of the green supply chain. This proposal delivers: identification and description of specific criteria and sub-criteria for the implementation of GSCM, also internal and external stakeholders were raised, performance indicators were built based on the fundamentals of GSCM and green marketing processes, evaluating the performance of companies in terms of sustainability; environmental, social and economic. This ultimately constitutes a proposal that seeks to outline a practical and attractive way for companies in the sector to enter into GSCM and adopt sustainability as an important pillar of their identity.
