Resumen
Regarding the state of vulnerability and the reality of powerless populations, social exclusion situations are woven where the right to education is not recognized, and even a gender inequality phenomenon arises. Thus, IDIPRON Mujeres para la Vida program enables the validation of high school education for householder mothers in poverty. This report aims to describe the English teaching experience as a foreign language (L2) addresed to Mujeres para la Vida tenth graders and based on specific aspects of affectivity. Here Cooperative Language Learning Approach (CLL) is used as the teaching methodology. Also, a didactic unit is created in response to learning students ´needs and as a result, resilience processes are built where education and English learning act as means of self-improvement, self-esteem and empowerment
