Resumen
This paper presents a qualitative research. In which, it´s analyzed how the media in Colombia construct, signify and re-signify social representations and a speech about the teachers. All this, having as a reference point a tracking of the news that were published in the El Tiempo newspaper, in 2016 and 2017 (Since January 1st of 2016 until October 15th of 2017). The analysis was done initially in a quantitative way that showed the recurrences of the publications regarding to the teachers. With this material, the propose its to present from a Critical speech analysis in the body of the news those expressions and references to the teachers as a cultural agent, social mobilizer and as educative agents. Having as main purpose to answer the question, ¿ What is the social representation that is constructed of the Colombian teachers and their work?
