Resumen
The Institute of biological resources research Alexander von Humboldt is responsible for generating the necessary knowledge to assess the state of biodiversity in Colombia and from that serve as a tool for sustainable decision making. (IAVH, 2014) In order to achieve these purposes the institute has four support programs among which is the "Program of territorial management of biodiversity", in which our internship work was developed, specifically in its line of research of Restoration Ecology. As environmental engineers, we recognize the importance of carrying out restoration processes since it "becomes a tool for the management and planning of actions that guide and promote the restoration of biodiversity and ecosystem goods and services." national ecological restoration) which in the national context becomes very important because: "At least 40% of the continental territory of the country is currently in some state of damage, degradation or destruction" this, because "Historically, the country has proposed its economic development based on models based on the overexploitation of natural resources and extractive industry. "(Aguilar Garavito & Ramírez Hernandez, 2016) Understanding the context and the importance of ecological restoration in the country, this degree project was proposed where accompaniment and support for different types of projects was provided, based on the previous knowledge acquired throughout our training as environmental engineers at the University District Francisco José de Caldas and some acquired in training at the Institute, through our external director.
