Resumen
Advances in neuroscience, endocrinology and other related sciences have managed to demonstrate the importance of emotions and their parallelism with cognitive processes, that is, the idea that reason is above emotion, as was erroneously proposed during centuries by Western philosophy. In the same way, it has also shown that according to the way we reason about a certain event, these emotions will be modified, making it an inseparable circuit. This work aims to compile information that allows us to clarify the concept, origin, nature, principles and objectives of emotional education and its support from a scientific perspective, making an approach to the impact that it has managed to generate both at a social level and in educational practice, to the analysis of the contents that emotional education proposes in terms of the formation of knowledge and understanding of one's own being, to understand how we can relate to others (skills, emotional and social), to the challenges that triggers and in its role as a potentializer in the learning of moral and ethical skills, in order to propose a strategic proposal, which allows it to be put into practice in the acquisition of habits and behaviors that serve as a tool to strengthen or promote values morals
